  • goals to high?

so far, after 4 days of event, around 90.000.000 giftbags are on the counter. to reach the first goal it needs 450.000.000 giftbags. that means, about 20 days to reach only the first goal!!!

is that intended or just a big mistake? it seems to be impossible to reach the second goal until 7th january...... :(

    • The prizes are (in order):

Krusty Themed Totem Pole (450 million)

      Santa's Workshop (1 billion)

      Ebenezer Burns (1.5 billion)

      The Yes Guy (2 billion)

Candy Cane Power Plant (2.4 billion)         5/5 are overpriced

                                                                You're welcome.

    • Yeah, I don't think we're going to make it this time. It should have been based on total Gift Cards (like the GOO in the Halloween event), not items you have to place in other towns. Those would have accumulated far far quicker.

    • Yeah, I doubt we'll be seeing The Yes Guy in our towns this year, unless they make a change of some sort. Pity, I like that guy.

    • EA is in total control of this process. i am sure they will make sure everyone gets all community gifts

    • I like that they made it based on bags rather than cards. Since, they're community prizes we have to work together, as a community, and share in order to win them. But I think the goals are ridiculously high, especially for a first run and the bags not being the main holiday currency.

Anyway even if we don't get these prizes, they will remain as premium items that the rich people can get very easily.

    • I must be blind but I can't find the community prize counter

    • You can find the community counter by clicking on the trophy in the right bottom corner. It will show you your personal prizes by default, but if you click on the icon that appears now in the right bottom corner (a group of cheering springfielders :)), then you'll see the community counter.

    • ...anyone else notice a 200M+ increase with today's update?

      Not that I mind... ;-)

    • Yeah , it also looks like they drastically reduced the cost of the community prizes also. Which is great because at the rate we were going (my math might be fuzzy) we would have needed around 8 weeks to get all the prizes with the original pricing scheme.

    • Well it is the season of giving!! That's why I also like that it's based on bags you give rather than cards you collect.

    • The original prize targets should be included in the article, to serve as a comparison
