The Rusty the Clown Balloon is a limited-time decoration released on November 15, 2013, as part of the Thanksgiving 2013 Event.

It returned on November 20, 2014 for the Thanksgiving 2014 Event, and on November 19, 2015, for the Thanksgiving 2015 Event.

It was re-released for only a day on November 24, 2016 (Thanksgiving Day 2016) during The Most Dangerous Game 2016 Event.

It returned on November 14, 2017 during the This Thanksgiving's Gone to the Birds! 2017 Event and on November 14, 2018 during the Thanksgiving 2018 Event.

Rusty the Clown is a clown who's name is similar to Krusty the Clown. He appeared in Homer vs. Dignity and The Simpsons: Tapped Out in a parade.

  • Rusty is a tribute to a television clown Rusty Nails (aka Rusty the Clown) broadcast in Portland, Oregon that Simpsons creator Matt Groening watched as a child. He was the basis for Krusty the Clown.
