The Open Air Stage is a bandstand which is located in Springfield Park. To earn money, the player must broadcast shows/performances which involve certain characters. The Open Air Stage works in much the same way as Channel 6, except instead of broadcasting television shows, you are showing performances. It was released in May 2013 along with the Level 29 update.
