Old King Coal is a limited-time character released on June 14, 2016, as part of the Superheroes 2016 Event. He was the seventh and final prize to be won in the event's Issue 1.
He returned on September 12, 2018 during the Super Powers 2018 Event. He was a possible prize in the Mystery Box The Sequel.

Old King Coal is a villain and a member of The Fossil Fuel Four. Together with the rest of the Fossil Fuel Four defeated and killed Radioactive Man.
