About[]
Joan Bushwell is a renowned animal researcher who lives among the chimps. When the Simpsons were lost in Tanzania, they found their way to her Chimp Refuge. Eventually, a group of poachers attacked the refuge, Lisa discovered that they were with Greenpeace and they wanted to save the chimps. It was then revealed that Dr. Bushwell had essentially enslaved the chimps to mine diamonds for her in a diamond mine under the refuge.
