Hugs Bunny is a limited-time character released for the Easter 2014 Event, where it could have been won in the Gold Easter Box.

He was re-released for the Easter 2015 Event and for the St. Easter 2016 Event as a premium character, as a result it now earns at premium rate.

He returned on March 28, 2018 during the Resurrection of Rigellian Christ 2018 Promotion

When Maggie is upset because she has not collected any Easter eggs, Homer picks her up and steals eggs from other kids baskets and puts them in hers. Hugs Bunny tells Homer to put Maggie down and that he just wants to talk. After Homer does this, Hugs starts beating Homer up.

After 81 Gold boxes were opened Hugs was guaranteed to be won, the highest of any gold box prize.
His name is a parody of Bugs Bunny.
He is one of only four characters to have a permanent job at the Purple House, with the other three being Fat Tony, French Waiter and The Yes Guy.
He is the only playable character in the Easter 2014 collection.
