Rolling in ItEdit

Character Dialogue
Smithers Icon "What's wrong, sir? You've hardly touched your Dodo egg. And instead of saying “Excellent,” you keep muttering “Above Average.”"
Mr. Burns Sad Icon "Have I? I'm sorry -- I've just felt so bored lately."
Mr. Burns Sad Icon "It's been so long since I've had a real challenge, or even a worthy nemesis. A Roosevelt or a Carnegie or any of the Temples. Shirley or Grandin."
Smithers Icon "I can't stand to see you this way, sir. I know what might cheer you up -- we could give away scholarships to orphans for made-up colleges."
Mr. Burns Annoyed Icon "We did that last week, and it backfired. Who knew there was a Bard College?"
Smithers Icon "We could unfreeze Walt Disney and show him the state of animation now."
Mr. Burns Annoyed Icon "No, he turned to goo when the power went out last week."
Smithers Icon "Maybe you'd like to fire an employee for no reason? That always seems to cheer you up."
Mr. Burns Annoyed Icon "You there! Do you work for me? Say yes and I'll fire you. Say no and I'll have security throw you off the premises."
Homer Woohoo Icon "Woohoo – half-day!"
Mr. Burns Sad Icon "That wasn't satisfying at all!"
Mr. Burns Annoyed Icon "Perhaps I can get some ideas from my fellow 1% of the 1%..."

Character Dialogue
Mr. Burns Icon "Private jets? Super PACs? Ski chalets? Blood diamonds?"
Mr. Burns Annoyed Icon "Bah! I'd rather throw my money away than waste it on such frivolities."
Mr. Burns Surprised Icon "That's it!"

Ain't No Mountain High Enough Pt. 1Edit

Character Dialogue
Lisa Icon "Mr. Burns, I believe I've got the perfect project to spend your money on."
Mr. Burns Icon "Oh, too late, little girl – I've already found a project of my own."
Mr. Burns Icon "Do you know those science fair projects where children build a paper-mache volcano?"
Lisa Shocked Icon "You're investing in children's science fairs?"
Mr. Burns Icon "Let me start again. You know that song that goes "Ain't No Mountain High Enough...”?"
Lisa Shocked Icon "Environmental activism? A center for the performing arts?"
Mr. Burns Annoyed Icon "I'm building a mountain out of money. Maybe I should have just come out and said it from the start."
Lisa Annoyed Icon "So instead of using your vast wealth to improve society or invest in our future, you're just going to… pile it?"
Mr. Burns Icon "Now you've got it! And I was worried you wouldn't understand."

Ain't No Mountain High Enough Pt. 2Edit

Character Dialogue
Mr. Burns Icon "Hmm, this is a little disappointing. Truth be told, my mountain looks more like a mole hill."
Smithers Icon "Excellent wordplay, sir."
Mr. Burns Annoyed Icon "Don't be a yes man, Smithers. I don't need another yes man on the payroll. Do you understand?"
Smithers Sad Icon "…no?"
Mr. Burns Annoyed Icon "Imbecile! I need to figure out what my mountain of money is missing."
Mr. Burns Icon "Ah, of course. The money!"

Ain't No Mountain High Enough Pt. 3Edit

Character Dialogue
Mr. Burns Annoyed Icon "Bah! Look at that pitiful piling! Calling that a mountain is like calling any music made after 1790 music."
Smithers Icon "Well, the manual indicates that there are eleven levels of upgrades available for your money mountain."
Smithers Icon "Coming in at a staggering-to-most-but-not-to-you-sir total cost of $5,500,000."
Lisa Angry Icon "$5,500,000?! Just think of all the poor people you could feed with that money!"
Mr. Burns Icon "Little girl, you could have a career in comedy. Assuming you grow up to be a man and Jewish."
Mr. Burns Annoyed Icon "Also, I'm one of the richest men in the world. Why is a little girl always in my office?"

Ain't No Mountain High Enough Pt. 4Edit

Character Dialogue
Brockman Icon "Kent Brockman, reporting live from what many have dubbed Mount Money, others Mt. Money."
Brockman Icon "Which I'm now being told is an abbreviation for the word mountain. More on that at 11."
Mr. Burns Icon "Are we actually live?"
Brockman Sad Icon "No, that's just something reporters say. Although I wouldn't take my word for it. I'm a pretty shoddy reporter."
Brockman Icon "I've just been told that we are indeed live. So, Mr. Burns, why pile money?"
Mr. Burns Annoyed Icon "Why not?"
Brockman Icon "Asked and answered. Did you ever consider doing something else with your money, like investing in real estate?"
Mr. Burns Icon "I figured I would cut out the middleman. Why use money to buy real estate when money can be real estate?"
Brockman Icon "Makes sense to this reporter."
Mr. Burns Icon "If you'll excuse me, it's time to contribute the contents of my piggy bank to this noble endeavor."

Ain't No Mountain High Enough Pt. 5Edit

Character Dialogue
Wolfcastle Icon "Mr. Burns, I vould like to secure ze film rights to your money mountain."
Mr. Burns Icon "Intriguing. I've never been one to trust the followers of Edison but I hear moving pictures are an up and coming industry."
Mr. Burns Icon "What would this talkie be called?"
Wolfcastle Icon "This Mountain Is Made of Money and I Have a Gun."
Wolfcastle Icon "It's a prequel to This Ocean Is Made of Quarters and I Have a Harpoon Gun."

Ain't No Mountain High Enough Pt. 6Edit

Character Dialogue
Quimby Icon "Mr. Burns, I just learned of your, er, unique construction project. And I'm here to collect the city's landmark fee."
Mr. Burns Annoyed Icon "My money mountain is its own jurisdiction. It even has its own zip code -- $$$$$."
Quimby Icon "In that case, there is an out-of-jurisdiction landmark fee. To be paid to the nearest jurisdiction that has no legal authority to collect fees from your landmark."
Mr. Burns Sad Icon "How do you sleep at night?"
Quimby Icon "Same way you do, on a pile of money."

Ain't No Mountain High Enough Pt. 7Edit

Character Dialogue
Homer Sad Icon "I'm sorry to bother you Mr. Burns, but I can't but help notice all the money you've added to the money mountain."
Mr. Burns Icon "It's starting to look quite majestic, isn't it?"
Homer Scared Icon "Yes, but the thing is... it's been quite a while since I got a raise. Three years ago to be exact."
Homer Thoughtful Icon "I know because it was the day before that giant meltdown I caused. I mean… did not prevent."
Homer Scared Icon "Well, I ... er... was hoping maybe I could maybe have one now?"
Mr. Burns Annoyed Icon "Do I look like I'm made of money?!"
Homer Scared Icon "No. But that money mountain of yours is. Maybe I could just take a few spare bills from the money eagle's nest?"
Mr. Burns Annoyed Icon "If I let you do that, where would I point to when making a joke about nest eggs?"

Ain't No Mountain High Enough Pt. 8Edit

Character Dialogue
Rev. Lovejoy Icon "Mr. Burns, I've come here to humbly request you tear down this false idol before you invoke the wrath of an angry, righteous God."
Mr. Burns Diabolical Icon "Not even your puny God can stop me! This mountain will block out the sun!"
Mr. Burns Icon "That sounds strangely familiar."
Rev. Lovejoy Icon "I know a story of another soaring tribute to man's hubris. One that God tore asunder."
Rev. Lovejoy Icon "The Shelbyville Aquarium. Mankind was never meant to walk below water."
Rev. Lovejoy Icon "Just walk through it while parted, and maybe walk on it."
Mr. Burns Annoyed Icon "Well I have something every aquarium in this nation lacks -- MONEY!"
Rev. Lovejoy Sad Icon "Perhaps you could donate just a little of it to the church. It'd be nice to replace those hymnals with something a little less pro-apartheid."
Mr. Burns Diabolical Icon "I think instead I'll just build a church of my own on top of Mt. Money. A wealthier church that worships at the altar of Monty Burns!"
Rev. Lovejoy Icon "In that case... are you looking for a minister? I come with or without a family."

Ain't No Mountain High Enough Pt. 9Edit

Character Dialogue
Mr. Burns Icon "Smithers, hand me another sack with a dollar sign on it. This mountain's still not tall enough."
Smithers Sad Icon "Sir, we're running dangerously low. On both sacks and the money within them."
Mr. Burns Annoyed Icon "I suppose I can launder the sacks, but the money is a more serious problem."
Smithers Sad Icon "Mt. Money has pushed you into the red."
Smithers Sad Icon "The power plant is in shambles, and the employees haven't been paid in weeks!"
Mr. Burns Annoyed Icon "We were paying them?!"
Smithers Sad Icon "Rolling blackouts are affecting the whole town. Your hoarding of currency has sent the stock market into a tailspin."
Smithers Sad Icon "And no one's been home to feed your chinchilla for weeks!"
Mr. Burns Annoyed Icon "We were feeding him?!"
Smithers Sad Icon "Sir, you're becoming obsessed."
Mr. Burns Annoyed Icon "Was Howard Hughes obsessed? Was Ahab obsessed? Was John Hinckley obsessed?"
Smithers Sad Icon "…yes?"
Mr. Burns Annoyed Icon "What did I tell you about being a yes man? Get out of my sight!"

Ain't No Mountain High Enough Pt. 10Edit

Character Dialogue
Lisa Deadpan Icon "Mr. Burns, you've got to stop. Not just for the town, but for yourself."
Mr. Burns Surprised Icon "How can I stop when I'm so close!?!"
Lisa Deadpan Icon "Have you heard the story of Icarus?"
Mr. Burns Annoyed Icon "No, but I'll pay you 20 bucks to not tell it to me."
Lisa Happy Icon "Deal."

Ain't No Mountain High Enough Pt. 11Edit

Character Dialogue
Krusty Icon "Hey hey! This mountain has more dead presidents on it than Mt. Rushmore!"
Krusty Icon "What you need is a living celebrity's face on it to make it stand out. May I humbly suggest my own?"
Snake Icon "I'm conducting a neighborhood survey. What hours of the night would you say you sleep the heaviest?"
Hans Moleman Icon "This doesn't look like the hospital. Can you fix my blood?"
Mr. Burns Annoyed Icon "Stop, stop, all of you stop! I refuse to be distracted when I'm so close! One last dump truck of money is all I need!"
