A Merit of Badges is a limited-time premium side questline that was released on July 17, 2024, for the The Mayflower Maple Bowl 2024 Event. It requires the premium outfit Scouting Bart.

	Coming back to school for a Junior Camper meeting is lame, but at least Homer dropped me off and went to Moe's so this uniform is all I have to be embarrassed about.
	Now if I can just get through this thing without anyone seeing me…
	Hey, Simpson! What's with that goofy getup?
	You look like you're about to start yodeling for some strudel or something.
	What are you guys doing here?
	We fell asleep in the dodgeball bin while we were skipping class.
	They really relax your back after a long morning of beating up nerds.
	Speaking of nerds, is that a Junior Camper outfit?
	What? Me a Junior Camper? No way! This is, uh…
	Ah, Simpson, there you are! You're late to the Junior Camper meeting.
	Not a Junior Camper, huh?
	Why, you boys should come to the meeting, too. I could go on all day about the character benefits of being a Junior Camper!
	This is a nightmare, right? Someone's gonna pinch me and I'm gonna wake up any second now…
	I'll pinch you with my fist if it gets Skinner to shut up.

	Hey, Skinner, did you get your merit badge in "Boring Kids to Tears" yet, or is that next week's meeting?
	Why, you—!
	Ha-ha!
	It wasn't really funny until he said "Why, you—!"
	I hear you're teaching survival skills now. What's lesson one? How to survive a day in detention without falling asleep?
	Is part of your scout training teaching kids how to set up a perimeter to avoid contact with fun and excitement?
	Haha! It's funny because Skinner is so lame!
	I wasn't laughed at during my set at open-mic night when I was a POW in Vietnam. And I won't be laughed at now!

	What was that? That was crazy!
	He's barricaded himself in the janitor's closet to "wait for the choppers".
	Not again!
	Now if we could learn to be scary like THAT, scouting would almost be not completely lame.
	Oh yeah, that's totally what Junior Camper scouting is now. You can get merit badges for all sorts of cool stuff now.
	Really? Show us.

	Okay, we're out on the street. Now what?
	Well, uh, we can tag those dumpsters over there!

	Sure! It's the, uh, "Street Art" merit badge.

	Wow, Jimbo. I'm really impressed with this.
	Really?
	Oh, yeah. I didn't think you could properly depict the pain and anguish of a wedgie with colors, but I'm happy to be proven wrong.
	The red lines represent the rage that fuels the yank.
	And Nelson, this image of a fist breaking a pair of glasses is super lifelike.
	It's one of my favorite memories.
	Bart, he grabbed me and told me to stand still and model for him, but I didn't think he'd punch me first!
	What can I say? My muse really took me there.

	Why are we at this movie theater now?
	Even I know you can't yell "Fire!" in a crowded theater.
	Right. That's why we're just going to pull the fire alarm.
	What merit badge do we get for this?
	Uh, how does "Social Dynamics" sound?
	Like I don't know what that means, so it's probably real.

	So, what did you all learn?
	I learned that this theater does not follow proper fire safety guidelines at all.
	I counted no fewer than four different emergency exits that weren't properly marked or were blocked by obstructions.
	Oh, uh…that's good to notice. Did you…uh…see how that affected the social dynamics at all?
	Well, I did see several of the moviegoers pick up the Squeaky-Voice Teen and use him as a battering ram to open up one of those blocked doors.
	Nothing like panic to really bring people together, eh?
	Uh…yeah! Absolutely! Good work, guys.

	Can't believe I got away with that! Now that Nelson and his crew have gone home, I can catch the last part of the Junior Camper meeting.
	Hey, Bart.
	Nelson? Guys? What are you doing here?
	Hey, we did all that scouting stuff with you, so we're here to get our merit badges.
	thinking Okay, this isn't terrible. I can still talk my way out of this.
	So, decided to check out the Junior Campers after all, eh, boys?
	I'm dead.

	You want merit badges for what?
	Street Art, Food Tasting, Virtual Athletics, and, uh, what was the other one?
	Social Dynamics.
	Yeah, that one.
	Scoutmaster Skinner, I can explain…if you give me like five minutes to come up with something that won't get me kicked out or beat up.
	No need. Those actually ARE real merit badges now.
	They are?
	Unfortunately, yes. It's almost impossible to get modern kids to crochet or learn carpentry, so we've had to expand the field quite a bit.
