They fit perfectly in my town, so it's probably a graphics glitch with your specific display resolution and/or DPI value.
Does the train go over it?
You're probably running into the same issue that I just started a thread about a few minutes ago. If you're referring to the fact that the tracks don't always line up and are sometimes one section apart, that's my concern as well. If you train continues over the section your taling aobut then it's just a glitch, perhas in resolution like the other poster mentioned. However, IF there's an actual ONE section gap between tracks and the train won't go over it because it's an ACTUAL gap, then there's nothing wrong with your resolution and it's not a video glitch. It's just a function of trying to line up an existing piece of track with say another section, or maybe a fixed location like the new mountain tunnel from the Springfield Hieghts area (like I'm trying to do). It happens because you have the freedom to place tracks where ever you want and also to place the stations where ever you want. Sometimes when you go to join up a new or rerouted section of track with, say, your existing track, the sections just happen to be one section off from meeting up like they should. If they were were two sections apart you could change it and use the two segment section that exists. However, there is no single section of track. This was the subject of the thread I started a few minutes ago. I wish they would add a section of track that was a SINGLE LENGTH of track. Currently, the smallest section is TWO sections in length. That's fine when you need that but sometimes you need just a single section to make things line up. I seroiusly hope they add that to the game, soon. It would make things so much easier when things don't quite line up. Sometimes you can reroute the track around a bit or, as a last resort, move an entire station over a single section to mae things finally line up. Sometimes however, that can be a lot of work having to move other stuff as well. A single section of track would be the easier, quicker answer.
OK, I might have misinterpreted the issue then. Moving around a Monorail that is going across the whole town is really annoying, especially since the new path could be obstructed by decorations or buildings.
Well, its not really just that it's obstructed by decorations and buildings, that's always an issue. You always have to go around things. However, I think I'm having the same problem I think the OP is having. It's that you can't always line up sections of track because if you put in a new section of track coming from somewhere else and try to comnect it up with the existing track, it can end up with the track segments being exactly ONE space off from connecting together. That one space will obviously cause the train to stop at that point because the track is not complete.
HOWEVER, I just discovered something I hadn't reall though of before. In my town I have my Monorail track system set up as one complete track. It makes one complete loop and comes back to the station it started at. So, at this point anyway (unless I'm missing something), there is only ONE tunnel which goes through the mountains into the Springfield Heights section of the map. I assume maybe they will offer another one later but if they don't, then you CAN'T connect up a section of track and have it going up into the Springfield Heights section of the map amd then loop and come back down to the existing monorail track system in Springfield (and have it all be one continuous loop lke I have now). The reason for that is because there is no tunnel for a return track. Right now with only one tunnel into Springfield Heights (again, unless I missed getting a 2nd one) you can have a track go up INTO Sprinfieldheights but there is no tunnel to have a track come back and connect up to the the track again down in regular Sprinfield. So, I think having a track segment that is only one piece long will still be helpful either way but I think it is even more important if they eventually DO allow for a 2nd tunnel to you can have a track go up INTO Sprinfield Heights and then have that track loop around and come BACK through the 2nd tunnel to regular Springfield.
In thinking about it, you CAN run a signle line of track UP into Springfield Heights and the train will go up the track into Sprinfield Heights and then when it reaches the end of the track it will stop and then go back the way it came and go back down into Springfield. However, to do that it means you no longer have one continuous loop of track which is what I have now. You'd have a single line of track that starts in Springfield and then goes up into SpringField Heights but you couldn't have a continyous loop of track. Hopefully this makes sense. :)
Ok, I have read and I think there is something else going on with the new tunnels. I have a town that is what 4 years old at level 103 and I have moved the tunnel back and forth I have put into storage countless building and decorations. IT Does Not MATER WHAT I DO THE TRACK WILL NOT LINE UP. THe track is olny off a a 3rd. Train will not go over it. I have tried to go from the tunnel back to atrain station and at that point it is still off that same 3rd space. No way to connect it because of the movement will not allow the tracks to meet.
Yeah I'm having the same issue (a couple of my posts are above). I think I've come to the conclusion that I just have to "start" with the tunnel and basially redesign my track system from there. If they would issue a track pice that was only one segment (one square) long we could solve this issueb but the smallest track segment is two sections/squares long. I've found I'm going to have to redesign at least part of my track system and move the platform and everything to get it to line up. My track system (right now) is set up as one big loop around my town. All my monorail platforms are connected in one big loop. around the town. Because of this issue with the tunnnel I think I may redesign my monorail track system into a bunch of individual smaller loops, each with their own train. I've found if you do that you'll have a train for each platform.
Also, the other issue I have is I must have missed the 2nd tunnel piece when it became available or something. I've only ever gotten ONE tunnel piece that allows the monorail track to go through the mountains up into the Springfield Heights section of the map. I've visited many other friend's towns that have two tunnel sections allowing the track to go up into the Springfield Heights section of the map but I can't seem to get that 2nd tunnel section. I did have to skip one of the daily challenges which just would NOT complete on my system. It was the one where you go play the game where you tap the balloons up in Krustyland. No matter how many times I completed the game, the challenge just wouldn't complete and allow me to claim whatever the prize was for that challenge. I HOPE I haven't missed the second tunnel section permanently and it is either still up ahead for me or if I did miss it, it will come back around. Or, I'll be given a chance to maybe do that skipped daily challenge again and get the missed tunnel piece.
